Locally-Grown Saffron Acknowledged in House of Assembly
The World’s Most Expensive Spice is Now Local
Did you know that saffron can be more expensive than gold by weight? That’s because its delicate threads are harvested painstakingly by hand, as Argyle-Barrington MLA Colton LeBlanc states in this video. It still blows us away that our little slice of Nova Scotia green can support such an incredible crop.
